Hon Clayton Burgin
Minister of Housing, Informal Human Settlements, Lands Surveys and Physical Planning
Hon Clayton Burgin has a strong background in Education, having served as a Primary School Teacher and Adult Educator from 1973 until 200, when he became parliamentary representative for East St George, following the General Elections of 2001.
He became Minister of Housing etc in December 2010, but also served as Minister of State in the Ministry of Education, Minister of Education, as well as Minister of Transport and Works.
He is certified teacher who also holds a Certificate in Adult Education, as well as the degree of Master of Education (M. Ed) in Adult Education Literacy and Rural Development, which he obtained at the University of Manchester in the
He has also had extensive training in Human Sexuality and Adult Education Teaching Methodology.
In addition to his involvement in the formal education system, he is widely recognized for his sterling contribution in the area of community development, serving as Adult and Community Education Co-ordinator with the JEMS Progressive Community Organisation.
